Who and What do you treat?!

A: I care for patients of all ages, with a variety of health conditions, back pain, neck pain and headaches…and assist with their highly-skilled manipulations/chiropractic adjustments.

Is it suitable for children?

A: Yes, children can benefit from chiropractic care. I always adapt highly skilled treatments to the individual patient, and in the case of children, it's very gentle.

Are your treatments safe?

A: Yep, it's widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints.

Do insurance plans cover chiropractic?

A: Yes. Chiropractic care is included in most health insurance plans. Give me a call to discuss payment if you're not certain.

What kind of education and training do you have?

A: I received my Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine Degree in 1999 from the National University of Health Science in Chicago which included a minimum of 4,200 hours of classroom, laboratory and clinical experience.

How do you do the adjustments?

A: It's a manual procedure utilizing highly refined skills developed during my intensive years of chiropractic education. I use my hands or an instrument to manipulate your joints to resolve inflammation and reduce pain.

Is chiropractic treatment ongoing?

A: The hands-on nature of the treatment is what requires patients to visit the chiropractor a number of times. In consultation, I tell you the extent of treatment recommended and how long you can expect it to last.

Why is there a popping sound when a joint is adjusted?

A: Adjustments/manipulations of joints may result in the release of gas bubbles between the joints, which makes a popping sound (like when you “crack” your knuckles). Theres usually nodiscomfort involved.
